Precept

The Precept is the element of your Council Tax that is paid to Painswick Parish Council.

Every year, the Parish Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. These are then submitted to Stroud District Council. SDC co-ordinate the other demands from GCC, Police and themselves and come up with the rate to be paid from 1st April that year.

The Precept for the Financial Year 2024/25 is £136,300, which works out at £75.56 per band d property. (Please refer to the budget below to see how your money is being spent).

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

Staff Salaries

Painswick Parish Council have signed up to the National Living Wage. Salaries are set according to NALC (click here for further information).

There are no employees by Painswick Parish Council whose taxable salary is in excess of £50,000.
