Nature Reserves

Swift Hill

Swift's Hill is a local landmark with its distinctive double 'bump' situated in the beautiful Slad Valley, immortalised in Laurie Lee's Cider with Rosie. The limestone grassland supports over 130 species of wildflowers including 13 species of orchid including the rare frog, bee and early purple orchids.

The Parish Office is located on the top floor in Town Hall. It is open Wednesday & Fridays 9am-12noon.

Library Opening Times

The library is open upstairs in the Town Hall on Monday 2.30- 4.30, Wednesday 10.30 - 12.30 & 2.30- 4.30, Friday 10.30 - 12.30 & Saturday 10.30-12.30.

The Post Office can be found downstairs in the Town Hall on Wednesday and Fridays between 9.30am and 11.30am.
