Painswick Parish Council is disappointed with the negative comments made on the front page of the September edition of The Beacon. Most reasonable people have been very understanding of the restrictions required whilst we deal with the Covid 19 pandemic. The Editor had been fully briefed by the Council that we were carrying out a detailed Risk Assessment for the re-opening of the Town Hall and Painswick Youth and Community Pavilion at the beginning of September. This as promised has now been done and we have already contacted all our regular users with the details on how they can return safely. We would also like to reassure you that both the Councillors and the staff have all being working tirelessly for the benefit of the Community and have always been available to contact by phone or email and where necessary face to face meetings have taken place. The Office is manned but please first make an appointment; as numbers to the Town Hall are strictly limited. Please note the Community Post Office is open on Wednesday and Friday mornings and the Library is currently operating a limited service on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 2.30pm – 4.30pm. The Fishman is also in the Town Car carpark on a Friday morning from 9.15am – 11 am.
